A Harrogate Garden Room – Transforming Uninviting Spaces Into Inspiring Places

A North Yorkshire couple had their uninviting outdoor space completely transformed into an inspiring place with the help of the exceptional Horto Garden Room.

Solicitor Judith and her husband Doug, live in Harrogate and were dissatisfied with an uninviting and wasted space in their rear garden. Judith says “The space had little if any use, didn’t connect to the rest of the garden and was high maintenance, particularly with the weeding”. “I felt it looked like an abandoned area of the garden that had lost all its soul and function” added Judith.

Now, this uninviting space has been given a new lease of life. Beautiful soft planted trees, shrubs and flowers form an enchanting backdrop to the outside view from the stunning Canadian Western Red cedar clad Horto garden room, which blends effortlessly and seamlessly into the garden landscape. “We couldn’t be happier now we have a tranquil haven transformation where we can both relax and work. The garden room makes an eye-catching focal point and immediately draws your attention to this newly transformed part of our garden” says Judith.

Ellen Robinson from Horto adds “I think the first step in transforming any area of your garden into an inspiring place, is to spend time considering what it is you actually want to create and what will it be used for, such as an entertaining space, a place to relax, to work or work out, or possibly any combination of these uses. Horto can certainly help you think about the potential your garden holds and give advice how to transform even the most undesirable outdoor space into a desirable, much more versatile place”.

Judith says “Whilst we were planning the garden improvements, I had the luck to find out that friends of ours were having a Horto garden room built, and I think that prompted us to seriously think about the benefits of a garden room for my business. I not only wanted a garden room to be an effective place to work, but also to make the most of the surrounding views and natural light of the garden”. Judith adds “Although the core design was influenced by our exact needs, Horto also recommended key aspects of the garden room, such as its style, interior features, size and garden positioning to create an inspiring place to work. The garden room is a perfect solution to an uninviting space, and we now have a peaceful, wonderful place where both of us can work together with a touch of the outdoors, we love it”.
